How to: Clean Your Lashes

Updated: Sep 2, 2022

As someone who has worked in the industry for over 3 years, I've seen it all. Lash debris, mascara clumps, infections, and more! I can't imagine how uncomfortable that is. For these reasons I'd like to debunk the following myth:

"you should not get your lash extensions wet."

This statement cannot be any more FALSE! As a licensed expert I'd like to educate all about proper lash care. As long as a licensed educated professional guides you through proper aftercare, those problems are totally avoidable. Let me let you in on a little secret that will help you avoid all those negative reactions and allow you to get the best retention. These next four steps will make you your lash artist's favorite client, promise!

HOW TO: CLEANSE YOUR LASH EXTENSIONS

  1. Start off by pumping your PPL foaming lash cleanser on the back of your hand as shown in the picture.

  2. Swirl a clean fluffy brush (similar to a fluffy eyeshadow brush) through the foam picking up a generous amount of cleanser and place on the extensions.

  3. Now, make sure to really get up in there and move the foam all throughout the lash extensions. Don't be scared to brush up, down, and side to side.

  4. Finally, rinse off the product with water and pat dry with a clean paper towel.

There you have it kids, as easy as one, two, three, and four! I can't forget to mention this gentle, oil-free, PPL Foaming Cleanser doubles up as a makeup remover! You're welcome and thanks for keeping up with the lash tips!
